Approaching the end of another year…

The end of another academic year creeps ever closer and as always it is a time of mixed feelings and reflection. This year has not been without significant challenges for students, but we are proud of how hard they have worked to overcome them.

For the second year in a row students have been unable to sit the exams they were preparing for, so much of our work has concentrated on impressing teachers by raising attainment in mocks and practise essays. This work has been intensive and has required lots of perserverance from both students and tutors.

Home schooled students had their own set of challenges to face when exam centres moved forward the deadline from May to March for submitting the evidence for grading. Students received less than a week’s notice, however all managed to meet the deadline and send in some impressive pieces of work.

Our time together goes so quickly, and this year in particular has seemed to fly by. It has been a privilege to work with you all over the last year, or two. Hopefully August will bring you all good news. I’m looking forward to seeing what you all go on to do in the future.
